The Effect of Teaching Political Science on Developing Political Awareness among Students of King Abdulaziz University

Abstract

This study aimed to know the effect of teaching political science on developing the political awareness of female students, as well as determining whether there are differences in the values ​​of political awareness due to study variables (academic level, specialization, college) and to achieve the goals of the study, the descriptive approach was used through a questionnaire applied to A sample of (230) male and female students from the university section. The study reached a number of results, the most important of which are:

  1. There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the sample in political awareness according to the variables of the study.
  2. There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the sample members in the importance of political awareness according to the variables of the study
  3. There are statistically significant differences between the average scores of the sample individuals in the role of political science in developing political awareness according to the variables of the study
  4. There is a correlation between the axes of the questionnaire, the effect of teaching political science on political awareness.
