Social Bullying of Minorities in Iraq

Abstract
The presence of minorities in any society is a clear indication of the extent to which society tolerates and its ability to communicate and coexist with the other, and Iraq, as is well known, is characterized by a wide range of minorities that existed before any religious or other ethnic component. After 2003, these minorities were exposed to social bullying in various Problem and intentions for many reasons, the current research seeks to know it.
The current research seeks to analyze the factors of social bullying that minorities receive in Iraq after 2003, especially after the ISIS 2014 events.
To achieve the goal of the current research, the researcher designed a questionnaire that measures the causes of bullying in two dimensions (social, legal). In order to verify the extent of the questionnaire's ability to measure what was put in order for a period only, I extracted some of the necessary psychometric properties of honesty and consistency.
After applying the questionnaire to the sample, the current research reached the following results:
- Social bullying is a visible behavior within Iraqi society, and it began to appear strikingly after 2003.
- There is a wide range of minorities in Iraq suffering from social bullying in a variety of ways
- Violent societal culture is one of the main factors that cause bullying. Iraqi society is a tribal society that believes first in revenge and taking the right by hand, not by law. This contributed to exposing some minorities to physical bullying.
- There is a clear gradient in forms of bullying, from the face frown to verbal bullying to physical bullying, and the individual may be exposed to all forms of bullying
- The ineffectiveness of the existing laws in staving off social bullying facing individuals from different minorities due to the fact that these laws are restricted to the rights of minorities on the one hand and the weak oversight and application side in protecting minorities.
- Society practices through its customs and culture a form of intentional bullying and bullying on minorities. The theory (impurity) is a social theory before it is religious and thus avoids the majority of society members shaking hands or establishing a solid relationship with these religious minorities due to their impurity from their point of view.
