The Reality of Public K-12 Education in the United States of America
(A descriptive study)
Abstract
Education institutions in the United States stand out as one of the best educational institutions in the world, which prompts researchers to try to discover the reality of education in that country. This study aims to discover the reality of public K-12 education in the United States of America. The researcher used the descriptive approach to find answers to the study questions. The study seeks to identify three aspects of public education in the United States. The first aspect is getting acquainted with recent information and statistics about the educational system and public schools. The second is to identify the authorities supervising public schools and the methods of financing public schools. The third is to discover the issues and challenges facing public schools in the United States in the past few years. The study discussed several issues related to the subject, such as issues of standardized tests, school financing, social justice and other topics.
