Deployment the Concept of Social Cohesion in Conceptual Works of Contemporary Ceramics

Abstract
Contemporary ceramic art is one of the contemporary intellectual trends, as the ceramic artwork has become interactive towards society as it's blend with community. In conceptual art, pottery artist focused on the concept behind his work more than his function. The researcher focused on the concept of social cohesion as a main topic in sociology by linking the ceramic conceptual art to its importance to the individual, in means of its expressive image of positive relations between members of society, indicating the level of closeness and cohesion in the relationships between them. The research problem was summarized in how to employ social cohesion in the conceptual works of contemporary ceramics. The study aims to shed light on the concept of social cohesion and clarify it, and clarify the concept of conceptual art from postmodern art, in addition to describing contemporary ceramic works with rich formative values inspired by the concept of social cohesion. The importance of the study lies in increasing the formative values of ceramics by integrating it with the concept of social cohesion from sociology as a contemporary philosophical thought and giving ceramic works a conceptual philosophical value that would help enrich contemporary ceramics. The research relies on the historical approach by clarifying the concept of social cohesion, conceptual art, and contemporary ceramics, and the analytical descriptive approach. The results of the research revealed Discover designs for contemporary ceramic works by taking advantage of the concept of social cohesion. The most important recommendations were to benefit from the ideas of postmodern trends by reviving the concepts of sociology through contemporary ceramic works.
