Teacher’s Professional standards in some African countries and the possibility of benefiting from them in the Sultanate of Oman

Abstract

The current study aimed to identify the Teachers Professional standards in some African countries and the possibility of benefiting from them in the Sultanate of Oman.. The study used the descriptive method, and The theory of content analysis was also used in document analysis in collecting data and information. The study reached a number of results, the most important of which are: The Sultanate of Oman need for specialized professional standards for teachers, benefiting from some of the experiences of African countries in the fields of curriculum content, teaching planning and design, teaching strategies and methods, information and communication technology, providing a safe learning environment , various assessment methods, cooperation with colleagues, management, parents and the local community, growth Professional and continuous professional development, ethics of the teaching profession, and treating with people with special needs.
