The Effectiveness of the Numbered Heads Strategy in Mathematics Teaching and Increasing Motivation towards the Subject from the viewpoint of Subject Teachers

Abstract
The numbered heads strategy combines the advantages of cooperative, participatory and active education, achieving the objectives of interaction and cooperation and overcoming difficulties, thus achieving an educational environment that focuses on the learner and does not neglect the role of the teacher and allows him to invest class time in developing higher thinking skills. Therefore, the study aimed to identify the point of view of mathematics teachers about the effectiveness The numbered heads strategy in increasing students' motivation towards learning the subject and to achieve the goal of the study, the descriptive analytical approach was used by applying a 15-paragraph questionnaire to 60 teachers from Kuwait to identify the point of view about the effectiveness of the Numbered Heads strategy in teaching mathematics and its advantages and capabilities in analyzing Difficulties and barriers to teaching the subject.
The study found that there is a homogeneity between the views and point of view of the sample of mathematics teachers about the advantages and possibilities of applying that strategy. The course teachers explained that the use of the strategy has an effect on confronting students' anxiety about mathematics and has an effect on strengthening mathematical concepts as well as participation and interaction despite the differences Individualism among students and their ability to develop visual thinking abilities. The study also confirms its impact on the level of students ’motivation towards learning the material and facing its difficulties and teaching obstacles in order to achieve the advanced goals of teaching the subject.
