The Decision-Making Process in American Foreign Policy

Abstract
US policy in the world has swung from its inception to the present time between those who advocate isolationism and those who demand imperialism. Between this and that US policy in the world has evolved from isolationism to leadership of the global system and the formation of the data of matters dictated by the American interest, and although the United States has played in one way or another throughout its history in the role of shaping the world order, but we are currently witnessing a different type of global leadership wants Uniqueness of the global decision, and get rid of the limitations of international conventions and ethics of humanitarian treatments.
The decision is an essential element in building the models of the political movement, and there have been many studies on the concept of decision-making in its various dimensions, as the decision-making process is the pivotal stage in the political process. Through the legislature or the issuance of decrees by leaders, after which the transition to the implementation of foreign policy objectives, and then review the results. Decision-making in US foreign policy is made through decisions that strengthen America's influence and control its global hegemony, as well as the dominance of international organizations commensurate with its global empire.
In this paper, we will discuss the concept of foreign policy decision-making through several definitions that clarify this concept. We will also discuss US foreign decision-making, as well as US foreign policy objectives and the relationship of the US president and Congress in foreign policy-making to inform and understand this issue.
