The Relationship between the Arabic and Persian Languages
Abstract
The relationship between the Arabic and Persian languages is old, introduced the neighboring countries of the land of the Arab countries. This relationship reached its limit of strength after Islam entered Persia and blended the Arab and Persian cultures and formed one Islamic culture. Following the entry of Iran into the Islamic religion and the great civilizational overlap that occurred between the Arab and Islamic civilizations, and the Persian civilization, this led to the breaking of all the borders and symptoms between these two civilizations, which called for mutual influence between their two languages. The Persian language is one of the languages of the Islamic world that has greatly influenced the image of Islamic civilization and is still so because of the scientists produced by Iran in various fields of civilization. Arab-Iranian communication is a necessity of the overall renaissance, and the pioneers of the Arab renaissance were interested in Persian language, literature and heritage, because they realized the need for East-Eastern communication in this renaissance deeper participation in the roots and branches.The Arab world and Iran have close relations and these broad relations require the removal of the language barrier. Persian literature, with its great poets, has a great place in world literature. The West has been interested in translating the books of Iranian poets and explaining them and studying their influence in other literature. Common between Arabs and Iranians. This research aims at defining the historical roots of the Persian language and to show how this language was influenced by the Arabic language and Islamic civilization. It is the influence of Persian in Arabic.
