The Effect of Teaching According To the Edmodo Educational Platform on the Achievement of Fourth Preparatory Students in Biology

Abstract

The research aims to identify (the effect of teaching according to the Edmodo educational platform on the achievement of fourth grade middle school students in biology)

To achieve the aims of the research, the researcher used experimental design with partial control, as the current research determined the fourth preparatory students in secondary and official preparatory schools affiliated to the General Directorate of Education in Anbar / Fallujah / for the academic year (2019-2020), and the secondary school for boys was chosen intentionally to be its students The research sample. Then, two divisions from the fourth year of middle school were randomly selected to represent one experimental group and the other to be the control group. The research sample reached (62) students by (31) students in the experimental group and (31) students in the control group.

     The researcher rewarded the two research groups in variables (chronological age, intelligence test, test scores for previous information in the subject of biology, scores for previous academic achievement for biology at the end of the first course, and a measure of the trend towards e-learning),

As for the research tools, the researcher adopted one tool for each dependent variable, as she prepared an achievement test for the last five chapters of the biology book for the fourth preparatory grade consisting of (43) test items represented by objective tests of the multiple choice type with four alternatives, and they were applied to two survey samples One of them is to know the clarity of the paragraphs and the response time and the other for the purpose of analyzing the test items statistically and calculating their psychometric properties, as the data were analyzed and statistically processed using the SPSS statistical bag. It included the following equations (t-test equation, alpha-Cronbach equation, Pearson correlation coefficient, Spearman-Brown equation, standard deviation, contrast, difficulty factor, and differentiation coefficient for test items, effectiveness of alternatives to objective paragraphs, and the Kuder-Richardson equation-20).
