The Level of Objectives Achievement of the Curriculum and the Difficulties and Development Prospects in the Teaching of History in Primary Schools in Baghdad
Abstract
This study aimed to reveal the level of achieving the goals and objectives of the history course curriculum for the elementary stage in the schools of the capital Baghdad and within the scope of education directorates on both sides of Karkh and Al-Rusafa, as well as to determine the extent and size of the difficulties that impede the teaching of this subject, whether from the viewpoint of students or teachers or school administrations. It will also target the search for ideas and proposals that will develop the level of achieving the goals of the history course curriculum and provide the information necessary to raise those practices in accordance with the results obtained from this study.
To study the study on the analytical description approach, and what was collected from among the study community, the target, which was primarily based on male and female teachers of history subject for the past academic year 2017-2018 for the subject of history, where the sample of the study sample (84) teacher and teacher from several schools within the scope Responsibility of the General Directorate of Education, Baghdad Governorate, the first Karkh and the second Rusafa in the capital, Baghdad.
The most recent results of the study until it achieves the degree of goals of the history course curriculum for primary school students may occur at an average degree, as well as the latest results in the most important solutions to activate the level of curriculum achievement as well as improving the level of interaction between the teaching and the parents of students, in addition to encouraging teachers to use the means of clarification And modern teaching methods.
These and other procedures will be part of those put forward by the researcher to develop the level and degree of achievement of the goals of the history course curriculum for primary schools in the capital, Baghdad.
