Leading Global Experiences in The Development of E-service Management Provided to University Students
Abstract
This study aimed to uncover the most prominent global leading experiences in the development of electronic service management provided to university students by highlighting the reality of the experiences of leading American and European universities in this field. The study used a descriptive approach for its suitability to the study's objectives. The results revealed that leading universities such as Harvard University, Ohio State University, Arizona State University, Oxford University, and Cambridge University rely on advanced electronic educational platforms to support distance learning. These universities also offer comprehensive student services, including digital libraries, comprehensive and direct technical support, and effective technical solutions that enable students to interact with academic material and manage their learning with flexibility and efficiency. Additionally, these universities place great emphasis on data security and privacy, along with focusing on measuring beneficiary satisfaction and continuously improving the quality of electronic services. They also focus on enhancing the digital learning experience and virtual interaction by providing ongoing training opportunities for beneficiaries, including students and faculty members. The study concluded with several recommendations, most notably the call to utilize the study's findings to develop the management of electronic services provided to university students in Saudi Arabia. It also recommended benefiting from the experiences of leading universities to improve current learning platforms, develop technical support services, and enhance cybersecurity and the protection of beneficiaries' educational data. The study stressed the importance of regularly measuring beneficiary satisfaction with these services and providing continuous technical training for faculty members and students, as well as improving access to educational resources and digital libraries. Lastly, the study called for holding conferences and publishing research on developments in the management of electronic educational services.
