Aesthetics of Mosaic art in Interior Design and (Modern) Furniture

Abstract

Modern-day artists are distinguished by their creative ability to use different types of art and employ them in all fields, especially interior design and furniture, to demonstrate aesthetic and artistic values ​​and a creative touch. The current study aimed to study the aesthetics of mosaic art, which is considered a traditional pictorial art known since ancient times and of interest to artists of every era. Eras and methods of employing them in interior design and contemporary (modern) furniture are characterized by simplicity, flexibility, and lack of classical decorations. The study followed the descriptive and analytical approach in describing and analysing mosaic art, interior design, and contemporary furniture. The study also followed the applied approach in employing mosaic art in a modern way that keeps pace with development and is Compatible with modern interior design and furniture, one of the most important results of the study was that it is possible to combine the art of traditional mosaics with the modern style. Design creativity in integrating traditional mosaic art with interior design and contemporary furniture, taking into account the principles and elements of design. Departing from the conventional forms of mosaic art and adapting them to modern forms of decoration reveals the aesthetics of mosaic art and the extent to which this art can keep pace with all eras and places. The study recommends supporting scientific and knowledge offices with research on the art of mosaic, its aesthetics, and the creative ability to adapt it in interior design and modern furniture manufacturing. It held lectures and courses for those interested and specialists on the importance of mosaic art and its uses in interior design and furniture manufacturing.
