Developing the Administrative Performance of Sustainable leadership in Public Education in Light of the Experience of Netherlands

Abstract
The study aimed to identify the sustainable leadership, its most important requirements, and the most prominent practices of the Netherlands to develop performance of sustainable leadership in public education. The descriptive survey method was used. The most important results: 1-Sustainable leadership is the one that has the ability to meet the needs of the present generation, without compromising the ability of future generations to satisfy their needs. 2-The most important requirements for sustainable leadership is the integration of educational institution in improvement process, save success, empowering workers as leaders, predictability ,solving problems, managing emotions, sharing vision, long-term strategic plan, evaluation sustainable, resilience, change management, continuing professional development, financial and moral motivation ,encouraging innovation, social, environmental responsibility, decision-sharing, external partnerships, planning successful leadership succession, integrity, ethical and transformational leadership. 3-The most prominent practices of developing sustainable leadership performance in the Netherlands, at the strategic level, is the adoption of the national program Learning for Sustainable Development, the announcement of the Dutch national sustainable development strategy; at the executive level; the education operates through three organizations, including Netherlands Institute for Curriculum Development, which participated in promotion of sustainability practices in 2007, a practical guide for schools presented to promote sustainable practices in 2009. The Ministry of Education, with the participation of several parties, is responsible for supporting sustainable leadership practices, by including them in the study subjects, or as educational projects. The schools differ in commitment; because the right to freedom of education. There are many initiatives to promote sustainable leadership practices, such as environmental schools, teacher training network, primary schools, secondary vocational education network, schools for sustainability program, and Vital Schools.
