The Contents of the Biographies and Memories Programs on Russia Today's Satellite Channel
(An analytical study of a trip program in memory as an exemplar)
Abstract
There are many international satellite channels directed to the Arab region, and among those channels the research dealt with Russia Today's Satellite Channel, which considered interested in what is going on the Middle East region and trying to marketing Russia's Federal policy in that region. Among the most important ideas and programs broadcast by the channel is a journey in the memory which the researcher chose to be the subject of his research, which sparked the controversy and caught the attention of his viewers, as this program reviews events that occurred in the past and provide new and convincing evidence at the same time towards the topics of sensitive topics.
Therefore, the research problem focused on trying to answer several questions, most notably, what are the contents and the nature of the topics discussed in the program? Is there a focus on specific content and issues? In order to define the contents and the explanation of the nature of the topics and focus them on the issues of specific personalities as well as reveal the goals that the program seeks to achieve by hosting the personalities.
The research is considered an analytical one which adopted the method of analyzing the content to recognize the basic ideas presented in the program. The research reached many conclusion, the most important of which is that Russia is a great and strong political country in the military field and has its international relationships and it preserves its economy as its economy part of its policy, as well as Russia Today's Satellite Channel is keen to present Russian society as an example of peaceful coexistence between religions and customs.
