Foreign Investment and Its Guarantees in Iraqi Law
Abstract
Foreign investment is one of the most important aspects of commercial activity in the contemporary reality, as it necessarily plays a dangerous role in the economic and social development process within the country, as it is a major channel through which capital, practical and technical expertise flow through and that of course develops any country in which it is located. Therefore, the states and the international community organize the treatment of the aforementioned investment and the report of its guarantees, based on the fact that it relates to the movement of capital circulation and its exploitation internally and externally. However, foreign investment has an urgent need to develop the economy in developing countries, as the need for developing economies for capital and technical expertise corresponds to the need for advanced economies; Through the foregoing, we are trying in this study to lay down the legal guarantees to provide legal security for investment in Iraq, and through this a reference was made to the amended Iraqi Investment Law.
