Types of Marital Violence against the Wife
(Study on a sample of married students at Al-Qadisiyah University)
Abstract
The topics dealing with the crucifixion of a person’s life and his relationship to the other (husband - partner) are of great importance and high risk, especially since the individual in his relationship with the complementing other is a dialogue relationship that holds dialogue with two parties who exchange the idea and share the argument, but the reins of the dialogue prefer to be equal and equal, so if One of them managed to break up the relationship and shattered. Thus, the dialogue is dependent on both persons (male and female) in a sacred relationship that is unparalleled, and therefore the dialogues between the spouses begin in peace, and must end in peace, and must be restricted in time so that it does not turn into a crisis and then into disagreement or lengthening and violence whatever its form or Its type, whether it is physical, psychological, (silence or boycott) violence, or economic violence, after it started with views of difference from the extent of the agreement. The aim of the current research is to identify the types of marital violence practiced against the wife, and the sample of the research was on female students married to a university
Al-Qadisiyah, the researcher chose the College of Education and the College of Education for Girls, because the researcher is taught in these two colleges, and the researcher built a measure of the types of violence directed against the wife and consists of 30 paragraphs distributed in three areas: physical violence, psychological violence, and economic violence. The researcher concluded that the field of economic violence is more areas Violence against the wife, followed by psychological and physical violence, and the researcher reached a number of recommendations, including: Intensifying awareness campaigns against wife-directed violence and its negative effects.
